This Easy 3-ingredient Vegan Strawberry Yogurt Snack reminds me of a custard version of strawberry cheesecake milkshake I used to eat a long time ago before I went vegan. It also brings back the nostalgic feelings of fruit-on-the-bottom yogurt.
You can tell a lot about a person by how they eat their fruit-on-the-bottom yogurt. Did you save the fruit part until the end? Mix it up straightaway? Slowly ration the fruit parts with each spoonful?
This Easy 3-ingredient Vegan Strawberry Yogurt Snack is
Made with ingredients you might already have around
- strawberry jam (or raspberry, four fruit, apricot, etc)
- ground flaxseed (a.k.a. flaxseed meal)
- plain or vanilla unsweetened vegan yogurt (Kite Hill Plain Unsweetened Almond Yogurt is highly recommended)
You have a decadent, health-forward snack in your future. Inspiration hit me when it was time to find use for the leftover yogurt I had used to make Easy 3-ingredient Vegan Sour Cream (no cashews).
Ingredient Notes
Vegan Yogurt
Kite Hill Plain Unsweetened Almond Yogurt is my favorite vegan yogurt. This post is not sponsored. I’ve had a lot of different vegan yogurts. This is my winner. It wins on flavor and because it is cultured with probiotics. The cultures really make a big difference in taste—so much rich tanginess.
***Please note that I am specifically referring to the Kite Hill’s almond yogurt and not Kite Hill’s coconut yogurt***

Flaxseed Meal
Flaxseed meal & ground flaxseed are the same thing. I store my flaxseed meal & my whole flaxseeds in the freezer to keep them fresh. Flax products can go rancid if stored at room temp for too long. You can also grind your own whole flaxseed into flaxseed meal.
Jam
I occasionally make almond butter and strawberry jam sammies. It’s crazy how something so simpe can be sooooo good. For that reason, I’ve usually got strawberry jam. You can use whichever flavor or jam you like.
You’ve got options, kid.
You could go with seedless blackberry preserves and sub the flaxseed with crushed walnuts. If you can imagine it and it seems like it would taste good, go for it! Sometimes relying on what you already have in your fridge can produce brilliant creations.
Let’s make an Easy 3-ingredient Vegan Yogurt Snack

Place yogurt in a bowl or cup.

Top with jam and flaxseeds.

Stir together and enjoy! Alternatively, don’t stir it together and eat it however you would eat fruit-on-the-bottom yogurt.
Too sweet/Not sweet enough?
Add more yogurt if it’s too sweet for you. Increase the jam if it’s not sweet enough for you.
