Too sweet/Not sweet enough?
Add more yogurt if it's too sweet for you. Increase the jam if it's not sweet enough for you.
Kite Hill Plain Unsweetened Almond Yogurt is my favorite vegan yogurt. This post is not sponsored. I've had a lot of different vegan yogurts. This is my winner. It wins on flavor and because it is cultured with probiotics. The cultures really make a big difference in taste—so much rich tanginess.***Please note that I am specifically referring to the Kite Hill's almond yogurt and not Kite Hill's coconut yogurt***
Flaxseed meal & ground flaxseed are the same thing. I store my flaxseed meal & my whole flaxseeds in the freezer to keep them fresh. Flax products can go rancid if stored at room temp for too long. You can also grind your own whole flaxseed into flaxseed meal.
I occasionally make almond butter and strawberry jam sammies. It's crazy how something so simpe can be sooooo good. For that reason, I've usually got strawberry jam. You can use whichever flavor or jam you like.
You've got options, kid.
You could go with seedless blackberry preserves and sub the flaxseed with crushed walnuts. If you can imagine it and it seems like it would taste good, go for it! Sometimes relying on what you already have in your fridge can produce brilliant creations.
